Lowell MILKEN
Center FOR
Philanthropy
& Nonprofits

The nonprofit sector represents a significant segment of the United States economy, encompassing 1.8 million organizations dedicated to a spectrum of essential societal needs. Guided by philanthropists and driven by a commitment to change, these entities address challenges–from alleviating poverty and promoting the arts to championing environmental solutions. Their resilience was evident during the recent pandemic years, making substantial economic contributions, notably $1.2 trillion in 2020.

At the Lowell Milken Center for Philanthropy and Nonprofits, our mission is to enhance the understanding of this pivotal sector and to support it through leading-edge education, leadership, and research. We invite you to explore our commitment to enriching the nonprofit landscape and advancing its impactful work.
